Short version: no account, no ads, no tracking cookies, no selling of data. Your questions are answered and not stored with anything that identifies you. Your location stays in your own browser.
What we process
- Your question. Used to work out the answer. We do not store the text.
- Anonymous trend counts. We count topic groups (for example “events this weekend”) by district and language, never your words, village or position. Nothing is shown below a minimum count.
- Your location, only if you choose to give it. A place name or pincode, kept in your browser. If you use approximate location, your browser asks first; we round the position, match it to the nearest town and discard the coordinates. We never store GPS coordinates.
- Technical data. Your IP address is held briefly in memory to stop abuse (rate limiting) and is not logged by KarigarAI. Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs for security.
Stored only on your device
Your chosen location, language, reminders, problem reports and the screen-free minutes counter are kept in your browser’s storage. Clear your browser data to remove them.
Children
KarigarAI is for adults, including parents looking for activities. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Third parties
When you open an official source (for example a railway or exam site), that site’s own privacy policy applies. Fonts are served from our own domain.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask what personal data we hold, ask us to correct or erase it, and raise a grievance. Write to hello@karigarai.com. We reply within 30 days.
